It seems the March international break worked in Leeds United’s favour with the news that centre-half Pontus Jansson had been passed fit and wouldn’t miss games as expected and he was certainly a welcome boost as we went into today’s Elland Road clash with Millwall.
The visitors started the brighter and opened the scoring ten minutes into the tie, but for those expecting a battle, Leeds got one and gave plenty back.
Pablo Hernandez drew us level just after the half-hour mark, and with Millwall restoring their advantage from the penalty spot ahead of the hour mark, Luke Ayling scored to level us up once again with just under 20 minutes left. Hernandez completed his brace inside of the final ten minutes of the game to complete another determined fightback this season as we took advantage at 3-2.
That was where the scoring ended and we took a deserved three points given our overall control on the game and we retake second spot in the table and are now only two points from Norwich – although they have a game in hand.
