Leeds United confirmed yesterday that striker Caleb Ekuban had completed a loan move out to Turkish side Trabzonspor.
The 24-year-old striker embarks on a new adventure in Turkish football on a spell that will last for the remainder of the 2018/19 season and having joined us from Italian side Chievo Verona back in the summer of 2017, he departs with 21 appearances to his name for Leeds with a return of two goals.
He hasn’t featured for manager Marcelo Bielsa so far in the competitive 2018/19 campaign so it’s probably in the best interests of everyone for him to get out and get some real game time under his belt once again.
Reacting to the news on social media following its announcement, the vast majority of fans were happy to wish him well for the year ahead and they hoped it would prove to be a productive spell for the lad.
Goodluck Caleb, all best wishes to you for the season ????????????⚽ #MOT xx

What the future holds in terms of Elland Road is open for debate, but a good and successful spell for him will do nobody any harm as thoughts to turn to next summer as the month’s tick by.
