Leeds United welcomed Hull City to Elland Road as manager Marcelo Bielsa was looking to close out 2018 with another victory at the club.
I guess in some ways given our recent form and the knack of falling behind but managing to battle back, well, it was going to catch up with us one day and unfortunately today became it.
The visitors scored in the 25th minute as Jarrod Bowen found the back of the net, and he made it a brace on a personal level to give them a 2-0 advantage just ahead of the hour mark.
Dominating possession and chances on the day there will be plenty of disappointment that we couldn’t convert our seven efforts on target into goals and our winning streak ends at seven wins on the spin. We did have two efforts cleared off the line though, so luck wasn’t with us today.
According to the rumour mill Bowen is supposedly a potential target of Leeds for the January transfer window so if there is any truth in that, he’s done his chances of seeing our interest firmed up no harm at all with that performance.
