According to the Yorkshire Post, Leeds may decide to start looking into signing Marvin Ducksch from St. Pauli with him rated at £2.5m.
The forward hit 18 goals last season in Bundesliga 2 and averaged a goal every 150 minutes in the league – highlighting he knows where the goal is.
That is obviously a lower level than the Championship, though, and so there would be question marks over him if he were to sign.
This doesn’t appear to be a story far down the line, though, with it only on the club’s mind rather than one we’re really going to pursue as yet.
The Verdict
The Whites have been linked with some impressive names and Ducksch obviously has pedigree but I think he’s a risk we don’t need to take.
We’re in need of proven players this summer and I think taking a punt on this guy would probably be something that many of us wouldn’t be too happy with at first anyway.
