Leeds United are reportedly set to make a summer move for former loan defender Kyle Bartley.

The popular defender at Elland Road during his season-long loan at Leeds last season is believed to be one of Leeds main summer targets according to reports in the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Bartley captained Leeds during the 2016/17 season and played a key part in Leeds finishing seventh in the Championship, just missing out on a play-off place.

The defender made 50 appearances for Leeds scoring six times and fans were keen to see him return to Elland Road but he signed a new four-year deal after returning to parent club Swansea City last summer.

He made three substitute appearances for Swansea at the start of this season before a serious knee injury keeping him out of the side until January.

The 26-year-old has struggled to claim a place in the side of the Premier League strugglers and he has made just five Premier League appearances so far this season.

A lot could depend on whether Swansea, who are currently just one point above the relegation places, remain in the Premier League.

Leeds would expect competition to sign Bartley if he does become available in the summer.
