|

Leeds United have announced their 2022/23 retained list and also given first senior contracts to three young players.

Whites fans have waited in anticipation for the official retained list to be released, unsure of who would be leaving and also interested to see which scholars would be given their first senior contracts.

Laurens De Bock, Josh Galloway, Alfie Hughes and Bobby Kamwa will all be leaving the club when their contracts expire, also the three scholars who will leave the club are Lui Bradbury, Joe Littlewood and Mitchell Picksley.

William Brook, Keenan Carole and Harvey Sutcliffe have all been offered professional contracts with the club.

A club statement on the official Leeds United site said “We would like to express our thanks to those players who will leave the club in the coming weeks and we wish them every success in the future”

It is still unclear if any first team players will be leaving this summer, with fans bracing themselves for departures of key players which could include Kalvin Phillips, Jack Harrison and Raphinha.  If any players are to leave this summer, fans will be hoping any income generated would be used to improve on what looks like a good transfer window already for the whites.

Brendan Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen, both from Red Bull Salzburg have deals in place, with Leeds looking to add more key additions to the playing staff before the Premier League season kicks off in August.
