According to L’Equipe – via the Birmingham Mail – Leeds and Aston Villa are battling over the potential signing of winger Anwar Al Ghazi.

Leeds have been linked with a number of players this summer and though the permanent window is shut there is still time to get some loans in.

Indeed, we’ve got over a week to try and get things sorted with midfield seeming like the area we want to address move.

Al Ghazi would help do that, then, with him a winger at Lille at the moment but Villa are also apparently keen as they look to add to their attacking options.

Certainly, it could be a good tussle between the two sides for the player – if there is a chance of getting him – as both have started the campaign well.

He seems a quality player, too, so he’d be a signing akin to the likes of Diogo Jota at Wolves last year.
