Leeds United’s talented Academy graduate Ryan Edmondson has had a very good year at the club across the 2018/19 campaign.

A regular in Carlos Corberan’s Under 23 setup as we marched to the Professional Development League north title, a Premier League Cup semi-final and on Monday we took a penalty victory over Birmingham City to be crowned the PDL National Champions.

Edmondson has also received first team involvement under Marcelo Bielsa and with a few appearances on the bench for the 17-year-old talent, he did get a 19 minute run out. It’s at Under 23 level we’ve seen the best of him though as he’s banged in 19 goals across the campaign at that level and having played his part in ending the season on a high, Leeds fans are again relishing the opportunity of seeing more of him in our senior setup.

Whether we see a touch more of him this season is open for debate, but you’d think next year would become his proper breakthrough given his development so far.
