An injury to central defender Matt Kilgallon could see the return of Sean Gregan for the fixture with Stoke at the weekend.

Kilgallon required stitches in an eye wound picked up during the defeat by Crystal Palace on Tuesday.

Gregan has completed a two-match ban, it is touch-and-go whether he will have to settle for a place on the bench.

New striker Jermaine Beckford, signed from Wealdstone last week, made a substitute appearance on Tuesday and followed it up with a reserve-team run-out 24 hours later. He is expected to retain his place on the bench.
