The international break gives players the chance to recharge the batteries if they are not selected for duty, and it also gives those still at the club the chance to do something meaningful with their time.
That’s how crocked ace Kemar Roofe has taken to the break in fixtures, as he continues to near his long-awaited return from injury.
He will likely still be unable to return for selection when we face Millwall at the end of the month, as the game comes just within his expected eight-week absence, but that could be the last time we see the Whites challenge for promotion without our top goalscorer.
In the meantime, Roofe has taken a trip to the Leeds General Infirmary to visit the kids currently staying at the hospital to see the work being done by the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund.
Our forward was also able to help raise awareness for World Down Syndrome day via the #LotsOfSocks campaign.
When Roofe then shared the post to his Twitter page, here’s what fans had to say…
Kemar it’s amazing to hear that people like you from my favourite Football Team also do there bit for associations like this. My little girl called Willow has Down Syndrome. This has put a massive smile on my face ???????? pic.twitter.com/aF1tddLhgk

If the lads get the chance please get down to the Cystic Fibrosis unit. Children’s unit always seems to be ignored.
