Leeds United are being strongly linked with a raid this summer on Bolton Wanderers for young talent Luca Connell.
It’s been a difficult year for Bolton both on and off the pitch with their relegation and ongoing administration concerns, but Sun journalist Alan Nixon believes that we are in pole position for the 18-year-old defensive midfielder after his impressive breakthrough campaign in the professional game.
LEEDS. Want to buy Luca Connell from BOLTON. Decent contract too. BRIGHTON haven backed out of chase.

“LEEDS. Want to buy Luca Connell from BOLTON. Decent contract too. BRIGHTON haven backed out of the chase.”
The Irishman made his debut in the FA Cup in January for them, and he hasn’t really looked back as he ends the season with eight starting appearances to his name, and a further two showings from the substitutes bench.
The player is out of contract come the summer as given their off pitch issues no new deal has been agreed, so we’d only have to offer up training compensation to grease the deal through.
Tottenham, Brighton and Southampton all waiting to see if Bolton Wanderers will do business on 17-year-old Luca Connell.

Knowing little about the lad, it’s interesting to see that three Premier League clubs were apparently keeping tabs on him during the last transfer window as it implies there is something about him.
