The hits just keep on coming for Leeds United and our bid to return to the Premier League in 2018/19 as although we have a narrow advantage over Derby County in our Championship Play-Off Semi-Final battle, manager Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed that two further players will be missing on Wednesday evening.
Welcoming Derby to Elland Road for the second leg in midweek, Kemar Roofe’s 55th minute winner gave us the one goal lead in the doubleheader, but he, along with Adam Forshaw have now been ruled out.
We also continue to have doubts about Pontus Jansson.
Forshaw only lasted 24 minutes last Saturday before he was replaced by Jamie Shackleton, and Roofe went off in the 91st minute with Jack Clarke coming on with a problem of his own.
Speaking to the media on Monday afternoon as he previewed the game, Bielsa explained.
💬 | Marcelo provides an update on team news: "Adam Forshaw won't be available. Jansson tomorrow will try to work normally, and we'll see how he is. Roofe won't be available. He has a calf problem, but it's less serious than Adam Forshaw's injury."
