Just when you thought things couldn’t get any sillier with our season, the news that we’re heading to Myanmar breaks.
No, really, the Whites are heading to Myanmar – a country that’s recently been in the news thanks to stories of genocide and the mass displacement of civilians – and it’s happening next month.
Not exactly the best idea the club would seem to have had, then, and although parts of the country are obviously safe and we’ll be heading there, you can’t deny that it’s still a strange decision.
Obviously, there’s financial and reputation reasons behind it but, put it this way, I won’t be going out to that part of the world!
