Leeds United goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell was back between the international sticks for Northern Ireland during the October international break but in the recent game against Bosnia and Herzegovina, the 21-year-old did concede twice as they lost 2-0.
For anyone not following the international action closely, it’s fair to point out they lost the prior game to Austria 1-0 as well so Northern Ireland are now on the verge of relegation from the Nations League – whatever that actually as means I haven’t got my head around the competition as I have no interest.
In any event, football is never a one-man game and nobody can really suggest otherwise in our young stopper’s direction but it’s certainly been a whirlwind year for him promoted through to our first team and now regular international action.
His age means it’s all a learning curve though and experience and he’ll be better for it in the long run if he continues applying himself and I’m not alone in failing to believe he won’t do just that as he’s too grounded a lad.
Class from Peacock-Farrell there double save fantastic goalkeeping #GAWA

Performances are there. Bit of luck and better finishing will make all the difference. MON has rightly used these games to bleed Peacock Farrell, Lewis etc and try a few new things. Has to all be about the qualifiers.

The only thing more disgusting than Peacock-Farrell’s belly flop of a ‘dive’ there for 2-0, was Gavin Whyte’s miss 5 minutes earlier

Fantastic that BPF is involved in international football. Up against better players than he’ll face in the championship. It can only help him at Leeds. #lufc

International football is not a step up anymore. Very rarely do you come across better players than in the championship never mind premiership

He didn’t have a great couple of games but it’s a transitional period for NI and he’s still learning #gawa

Question for you. Do you think he’s capable to carry on being our number 1? He seems to be getting some criticism recently may I had not from me because I think he’s great for our system and great with his feet too

I like him. You're going to get mistakes. He's learning.

Far more positive than negative on what I scanned with few wildly overreacting – Edin Dzeko has put the ball past far more experienced keepers in his career.
