Leeds United player Ezgjan Alioski has been known to split the fanbase, especially when it comes to his propensity for keeping a linesman busy during 90 minutes, but the 27-year-old has certainly deserved all the praise that’s gone his way for recent improvements in a more unfamiliar left wing back berth for manager Marcelo Bielsa.
His energy on the pitch and his determination to do a team job for the side has been well appreciated by many in recent matches, none more so than the heavy defeat of West Bromwich Albion last week.

With everyone out to prove a point after the disappointing Queens Park Rangers loss, Leeds certainly did that and Alioski got himself on the scoresheet in stoppage-time to cap a fine performance on an individual level from him.
The goal was the cherry on top though, most of the praise for the Macedonian came purely on the back of his work rate and the chasing he did of the game.

A fan posted up a video this week from the West Brom clash to show just how much running Alioski was doing, and for anyone who didn’t see the game, it should give great context to all the comments on social media asking if he was still ‘running’ following the fulltime whistle.

Agreed. He never went anywhere near any of the corner flags. ???? unforgivable really for a professional footballer. I hope MB made him do 25 laps of the pitch after the game and threatens to bench him unless he ups his work rate.
