“Hello Twitter” – Former Players’ Timely Return Sets Leeds Tongues Wagging

|

Former midfielder Vinnie Jones may be more known these days amongst younger supporters across football for his acting exploits, but for those fans of a certain vintage – he is undoubtedly best known from his on pitch exploits for the Crazy Gang of Wimbledon and Leeds United, amongst a few other clubs across his career.

446 games across 15 odd years, one hysterical ball grab on Paul Gascogine, more cards than I can count and booked only three seconds into a game were one of a number of highlights from his career.

With many in the Elland Road faithful remembering his spell and efforts with us fondly (even those who couldn’t stand him I think must have admired him on some level) he departed Twitter back in the summer of 2017, but he’s now made his long awaited return this week.

Despite his many allegiances, returning to social media in our shirt set tongues wagging at the beginning of the week.
