With a sterling fightback in the last match against Aston Villa, Leeds United welcomed Blackburn Rovers to Elland Road for the festive Boxing Day clash earlier this afternoon.
We did have the lead through a first half own goal, but the visitors stepped up in the second to draw level from the penalty spot and Charlie Mulgrew grabbed a brace for them as he gave them the lead in the 90th minute from a set piece.
Manager Marcelo Bielsa’s side weren’t done yet though and Kemar Roofe grabbed a leveller in stoppage-time and not content with that, he grabbed his own brace to return all three points with two goals in three minutes to secure a 3-2 victory.
Two fightbacks in two games and with everyone aware of how we’ve fallen away in recent seasons, those believing that ‘something’ is different this time round will be placing even more faith in this squad to return us to the top flight following this game.
We’re even opening up a small gap on Norwich City in second spot.
