Former Real Madrid goalkeeper Kiko Casilla has had a mixed time at Leeds United following his arrival during the last January transfer window.
Having come in as the experienced option to Bailey Peacock-Farrell initially, he certainly exhibited some wobbly moments and his regular rushes of blood to the head that saw him tear out of the penalty box – usually to our detriment – saw plenty of criticism come his way.
With some speculation of him being homesick and claims that other clubs were tracking the 32-year-old, ultimately, he never moved on during the summer window, but over pre-season we saw that he had a decent sense of humour as he liked an Instagram post that showed a video of him tethered to the goalposts – and responses of an obvious nature.
With Leeds United bouncing back to winning ways at the weekend as we put the September international break and Swansea City disappointment behind us by taking a 2-0 victory over Barnsley at Oakwell, Casilla came in for some good praise given his performance on the day.
Long may it continue and good to see the praise go his way.
Definitely his best game for Leeds today since signing.

Kiko The Dragon spreads himself everywhere and keeps clean sheets. Last year he was constantly flapping around the area and causing heart attacks all the time ????

Got to admit that after initially not liking Casilla (mainly due to his erratic running out of the box) he has grown on me. Looked a different class today and despite a few nervy moments he looked in control. Very good keeper
