Leeds Word On The Tweet

“Goal of the season”, “Premier League stuff” – These Leeds fans salivate over “phenomenal” goal

|

Plenty of Leeds United fans have been reminiscing on the stunning goal that we scored during our 2-0 victory away to Huddersfield Town before Christmas.

Ezgjan Alioski scored the opener for us five minutes into the second half but this was not what the Elland Road faithful were reacting to.

Pablo Hernandez’s strike just 12 minutes from time had mouths hitting the floor in amazement once more. LUFCFANZONE shared the footage on Twitter of our stunning counter-attack which came off the back of a Terriers’ free-kick, which was briskly finished off with a header by the Spanish veteran to send us top of the Championship.

Should this go down as our goal of the season?

Yes

No

No

The Whites have remained on the summit ever since, and have plenty of breathing space between ourselves and Fulham in third place, with a fantastic opportunity to secure promotion to the Premier League for the first time in 16 years.

Because of this, supporters were left drooling over Hernandez’s goal and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that it was without question our “goal of the season”, while others described it as “phenomenal” and something that you would see in the Premier League.
