Over the weekend Leeds United confirmed that highly rated young Academy keeper Harrison Male had now signed his first professional contract at Elland Road keeping him with us until the end of next season.
Having impressed our coaching staff during his ten years with us so far, Male made two starts for the under 18 side but did take in five appearances for Carlos Corberan’s Under 23 and he was a regular in the matchday squad at that level in the campaign of 2018/19 as we tasted Professional Development League success.
The expectation now is next season he’ll have further involvement under the charge of Corberan as we continue to see how he develops and progresses.
Buzzing to have signed my first professional contract @LUFC 💙💛 https://t.co/VWWoyZNsnP

With Leeds fans celebrating homegrown talents as they make their way in the game, the reaction to news of his first pro deal was entirely expected, but it’s now a big year for Male and he’ll no doubt be backing himself for a new contract this time next summer – these fans certainly feel he’ll do just that.
Make us proud.
