Many Leeds United fans on social media have been ruining the men that have caused the Whites so much pain over the years.

United supporters have flocked to a recent post on Twitter by fan account LUFC MOT, who asked fans to name the greatest opposition player they have witnessed playing against us at Elland Road.

There have been some magnificent players to visit West Yorkshire over the club’s 100-year history, but some of the names frequently doing the rounds included Arsenal icon Thierry Henry, Real Madrid’s Portuguese great Figo, England legends Wayne Rooney and Alan Shearer, and even some shouts for current Leeds goalkeeper Kiko Casilla.

Who has missed more big chances to score after 37 league games?

While Casilla has only ever played at Elland Road in home colours, the Spaniard has brought a lot of anguish through his errors, with fans relentlessly bashing the former Los Blancos shot-stopper for repetitive blunders between the posts.

As for Henry, the 1998 World Cup winner faced Leeds 13 times over his career and scored 12 goals against us, of which four came in a single-game haul in April 2004 at Highbury. The Frenchman also scored at Elland Road five times.
