Sky Sports pundit tips potential summer transfer deal to be a PL hit for Leeds

|

Speaking to Football Insider, Darren Bent has identified Jack Harrison as a player that could cut it in the Premier League for the Whites, if the club eventually gets there once the season is hopefully resumed.

Football Insider revealed earlier this month that one of the early bits of business that the Whites look to complete will be the permanent arrival of Harrison from Manchester City.

The winger has had a decent season on loan from the Premier League champions this year with five goals and seven league assists, and it seems as though – reportedly at least – he has done enough for the Whites to offer him the chance to stay at Elland Road permanently.

Indeed, the plan will be that he is playing in the Premier League for the club as the hope is that once this season is resumed, the promotion party can be closed in on. And, for Bent, Harrison would be a hit in the top-flight.

The former Sunderland, Spurs and Charlton striker turned Sky Sports pundit said: “I think Jack Harrison will be fine, I think he’ll be good.

“I think Harrison’s done quite well this season.

“You always need improvements, even teams that are regulars in the Premier League have to improve, you have to. Leeds are ready to go up, they’re looking to go up but of course, they’re going to have to strengthen.”

Certainly, there’s plenty about Harrison to suggest he could be a hit in the Premier League, but he will need to prove himself if he does get the chance to play for the Whites at that level.

There are still areas of his game that need to be worked on, with fans often lamenting the winger’s crossing, but Marcelo Bielsa is bound to have an idea of what he needs to do in order to make the step up to the Premier League.
