Loads of Leeds United fans have been celebrating on social media after it was announced that April’s trip to Blackburn Rovers will be shown live on Sky Sports.
Marcelo Bielsa’s Whites travel to Ewood Park next month following back-to-back home fixtures with promotion rivals Fulham and the relegation-threatened Luton Town, in what will be one of our three final away games of the Championship season.
The Rovers clash had originally been scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 4 but will be moving to Friday, April 3 in line with Sky’s decision to show the game as one of their live fixtures for the weekend.
Leeds are next scheduled to play in front of the broadcaster’s cameras on March 18 when we face Fulham at Elland Road, in what could be one of the most decisive fixtures of this year’s fight for the automatic promotion places.
The Cottagers kept to a five-point deficit to us last weekend, whilst we smashed Hull City 4-0 at the KCOM Stadium to move within a single point of league-leaders West Bromwich Albion after the Baggies were beaten by Wigan Athletic.
Are you happy to be facing Blackburn on a Friday night?
Yes
No
Blackburn currently have an outside chance of securing one of the final Play-Off places this season, as Rovers are currently just three points down on sixth-placed Preston North End, who still have to face fellow promotion hopefuls Nottingham Forest, Brentford and Bristol City.
April’s trip to Blackburn will be our 16th game of the league season to be shown live on Sky Sports.
Here are some of the messages shared as fans celebrated the announcement…

In other Leeds United news, a rarely-seen player has been backed to hand Bielsa doubt over the future of a first-team regular.
