I think I speak for many of us when I say that I’m already thinking about the summer and what that could bring for our club.
Of course, I know it is going to bring a welcome break from all of it as well but, let`s be honest, we`ll still miss it over those months and be counting down the seconds to kick-off for 2018/19.
Surely, though, there`s going to be some movement in the market this year with it becoming increasingly clear to us and those working at the club that a lot of players aren`t good enough right now.
Evidently, there is work to do to get us in a more play-off challenging shape and, for me, I think the likes of Matthew Pennington should probably be let go back to Everton.
He`s a decent young defender but does make a lot of mistakes and I just don`t think we can do with that right now.
I say this, then, with LUFC DATA`s latest poll in mind on Twitter and so let`s see what other Whites are saying about it all…
POLL: Should Leeds sign Matthew Pennington on a permanent deal from Everton this summer? #LUFC

honestly he isn’t much better than cooper and cooper should only be a squad player next season at best.

This nails it. He isn’t any better than Shaughnessy either so the ’emerging talent’ role is filled too. We don’t need another prospect, we need a proven performer and so to sign would just be a waste of resource.

No he’s worse than cooper and we need 2 more that are loads better than cooper

Yes but only as a squad player we need some1 next to pontus and Cooper to move to his level – Grimsby maybe

This poll is CRAZY what`s going on – He`s arguably the best CB we have – his desire to throw his body on the line is remarkable.

Depends on wages and transfer fee. Think he’s too injury prone and not steady with the ball at his feet. The game vs Sheffield in the autumn sticks with me.

He’s poor. Are we even contemplating this. For those that are you don’t watch all the games. Wobbly defender and poor touch. Has passed the ball at the back like a Sunday league player. No no no waaaaay

He`s got a mistake in him that`s for sure .. there must be better out their for the money.
