Leeds United have told all clubs tracking the Brazilian ‘he can leave but they want at least £65m’

The news came today from Fabrizio Romano via Twitter that Leeds have issued a take it or leave valuation for their star winger.

Arsenal have had an opening big turned down and rumours are that Tottenham Hotspur have now entered the race for the 25 year old. Chelsea have also been linked but nothing in the way of any bids placed.

It still remains unclear if Arsenal will come in with a second offer, or if either Spurs or Chelsea will try their luck, but what is crystal clear is that the Leeds hierarchy are standing firm and will not be budged on their price tag.

Leeds look set make nearly £50m profit from the deal, after it was reported they paid around £17m to Rennes for his services in October 2020.  He has made a fantastic impact in West Yorkshire and is certainly one of the Whites best players.  His price tag reflects his performances for both Leeds and the Brazil national team, and if Leeds must let him go, at the very least they will make a good profit from his sale.

Leeds fans know all too well about being asset stripped after letting a whole host of players leave for small sums of money, just to balance the books and keep the club afloat.  It feels a lot different these days with Andrea Radrizzani at the helm.  Stars not needing to be sold, or if they are, they are sold for a good amount of profit.

Leeds have been very active in the transfer market so far with three signings already, and the fans will be hoping there are many more new faces arriving at Elland Road.
