Pablo Hernandez featured for Leeds u23s on Monday and could be in line to start against Luton Town on Saturday. The 34-year-old got valuable minutes against Barnsley’s reserve team, which Leeds won 2-0, and should be fit enough to start at Kenilworth Road.
Hernandez has made 10 appearances in all competitions, scoring and creating four goals. The Spaniard missed six games through injury in September & October but recently returned for their 2-0 win over Queens Park Rangers (November 2) and 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers (November 9).
He’s racked up only 22 minutes of football since mid-September but should be in contention of making the starting eleven after the international break. Bielsa has turned to Hélder Costa while Hernandez has been out of action, but the 25-year-old could make way on Saturday as he’s failed to score or make an assist since August.
How will Leeds United fare against Luton Town?
Win
Draw
Lose
Leeds will fancy their chances of getting a result with or without the Spaniard, however, as they’re coming off the back of three wins and two draws from five games. The Whites could go top of the Championship with a win while Luton risk falling into the relegation zone if they lose.
