It has been announced on the official Doncaster Rovers website, whilst utilising two of the worst puns I have ever seen during my time on this Earth (see below) that ex-Leeds United goalkeeper Neil Sullivan and 19-year-old defender Sam Hird have signed for the club.
Both Sully and Hird were released by boss Dennis Wise as the club began an administration clearout, poorly disguised as re-structuring for the foray into the weird and wonderful world of League One football.
Hird The News?: I told you they were bad! Youngster Sam Hird joins Doncaster on a one-year contract having spent the end of last season on loan at the Keepmoat stadium, mostly from the substitutes bench and will now surely be looking to impress Sean O`Driscoll this year.
Sullivan Is Here For ‘Keepers: That headline wasn`t any better either! Goalkeeper (just in case you hadn`t realised from the title) Sullivan has signed a two year deal with Rovers having spent two spells on loan with the club previously. Upon signing his new contract, he told the official Doncaster Rovers website: “I enjoyed my time here in my two spells on loan here. Barring any problems in getting everything signed, I’ll be a Doncaster Rovers player, which is something that I am really looking forward to.’
