According to the Daily Mail, Leeds have lodged a £12 million bid for Derby County striker Matej Vydra as we continue to hunt his signature.

The forward has got an excellent record in Championship football.

A goal-scorer in the second tier, he’s certainly got plenty going for him and as soon as it was evident Derby were open to a sale, we have been linked.

It would seem that we’re in the driving seat for him, too, with other clubs not really getting close to the stage that we are at.

Let’s hope that Derby accept the offer.

The Verdict

This would be a very exciting signing for many at the club.

Vydra would guarantee goals and with good signings around him I think he’d fire us towards the top two spots.

Certainly, it’s a fair chunk of money but I think it would prove more than worth it.
