Leeds United are one step closer to making their first signing of the summer, but this one comes from somewhere a little more out of left field than their usual targets.
La Masia product and former Barcelona B forward Rafa Mujica is set to make his way to Elland Road in the coming days.
The 20-year-old tweeted out a goodbye message this was swiftly followed up by former Yorkshire Evening Post reporter Phil Hay saying that Leeds were about to complete the signing of the young man. If the move does come through, he’ll be coming into the club off the back of a seven-goal season in Segunda División B, in the third tier of Spanish football.
Whilst there were some fans who saw the potential in this signing, there were still a lot more who aren’t totally convinced that this is the right move for the club to be making.
Unless this young lad turns out to be a diamond in the rough that’s going to get them 25 goals this season, they’d much rather have someone who actually will be able to produce for them now, rather than in the future.

Don’t really need any more players for the future need them for now. Doubt this will help.

Rather have a proven striker in Dwight Gayle to get us up

Did we not learn from the last Spaniard we bought.

Signing young foreign players that aren’t good enough for their clubs. We loaded the academy with them 2 years ago and not one has looked like breaking into the first team.
