Leeds Word On The Tweet

“Disgusting behaviour”, “Let’s not encourage this” – Loads of Leeds fans react to club post

Loads of Leeds United fans have been reacting on social media after the club shared a clip of Kiko Casilla pulling off a cheeky turn during our 4-0 win over Middlesbrough on Saturday.

The result moved the club atop the Championship standings as West Bromwich Albion play their week 19 fixture on Monday night, when the Baggies travel to fellow promotion chasers Preston North End, who can move up to fourth with a win.

For now, though, we are sitting at the top of the tree on 40 points, and improved our goal difference to plus-18 after hitting Boro for four thanks to goals from Patrick Bamford, Helder Costa and a Mateusz Klich brace.

The confidence was clearly brimming at Elland Road on Saturday among the players, which extended to Casilla, who had a mostly quiet afternoon between the sticks.

Casilla was only required to make one save to deny Middlesbrough from scoring at the weekend, while coupling that with 33 passes – only Bamford (16) and Costa (18) played fewer of those who started for United.

Our 33-year-old shot-stopper also registered 40 touches on Saturday, and one of those came when he sent Ashley Fletcher sliding by cutting the ball across his body as the Boro striker bore down on him, trying to capitalise on a poor pass back by Luke Ayling.

Casilla destroyed Fletcher with the cheeky turn and was able to get the ball heading back upfield straight away, as United played themselves out of danger from the back.

Should Casilla be praised for his turn?

Yes, it should great quick thinking

No, the move carried too much risk
