‘Difficult’ spell on sidelines will boost Leeds man’s return as squad gets stronger

|

This time next week the Whites will be gearing up for another Sky Bet Championship game and the run-in for the season will have truly begun.

The Whites take on Millwall in another significant match for both sides and the Lions are obviously going to be up for spoiling our promotion challenge.

We must be up to meeting that, then, and at the moment the squad is probably looking a bit stronger than it has at times this season.

Pontus Jansson is out but plenty of players are getting back to fitness or have just returned and that is surely a positive sign.

And, speaking of taking positives, Jack Clarke should be able to use his spell on the sidelines as a real catalyst for him to finish the campaign strongly out wide.

Speaking to the club’s official channel, he said looking back on his time away after collapsing at Middlesbrough:

“I’ve been in the gym when I felt like I could train and play because obviously I haven’t got a muscular injury or anything, so I feel like I could have played, could have trained, but I’ve just not been able to.

“It was hard to be honest, watching the lads play and do well and not being as involved as I want to be. It was difficult.”

It must have been difficult but he has the all clear now and he can use that time away to really spur himself on into these final weeks.
