Having been linked for most of the summer with a move for Tottenham Hotspur centre-half Juan Foyth, Leeds United are being linked with Everton’s Mason Holgate.
With manager Marcelo Bielsa’s options light in defence, given the injuries we’ve sustained so far this year, even when players are fit, ‘more experienced’ cover in the centre-half positions and our failure or lack of interest in addressing that has been an issue since the August transfer window slammed shut.
According to a report by Sky Sports this week, Holgate, a 22-year-old former England Under 21 international is being made available for a loan spell by Everton in the January window.
He has over 60 games under his belt, with 40 of those coming for the Goodison Park outfit – and he has made six appearances for manager Marco Silva during the 2018/19 campaign itself.
Holgate available for loan. Wouldn't mind us going in for him for second half of season #lufc

Mason Holgate would be a decent addition in January,he’d provide much needed cover in our back four.

As the above comments on social media show, plenty of fans feel he’d be a worthy addition to the group and given how Everton strengthened their own defence over the summer, I do think there’s a possibility something more permanent could be arranged if he was to enjoy his time at Elland Road.
