According to Conor McGilligan on the One Leeds Fan Channel, multiple clubs including Manchester United are chasing Leeds United’s, Tyler Adams.

After a fantastic world cup in Qatar, the American captain has received glowing reports from pundits following his stand-out performances against Wales, Iran and England, and it now seems a host of clubs from around Europe are monitoring the 23-year-old. Arsenal, Manchester United and Inter Milan are some of the clubs that are believed to be interested in the former RB Leipzig midfielder and the player himself is said to be assessing his options at the end of the season.

Jesse Marsch signed the tough-tackling midfielder in the summer, along with compatriot Brenden Aaronson and he is fast becoming a fan-favourite with some of the Whites supporters calling for him to be given the captain’s armband. He is just the type of player the Elland Road fans adore, strong, powerful, works his socks off and never shuns a tackle. He certainly has the credentials to be a future legend, so the Whites must try to convince him that West Yorkshire is his home for the long term.

Conor McGilligan said, “Tyler Adams, now there’s reports today suggesting that multiple clubs are going to be chasing his signature, which I think as Leeds United fans we’re not naive, we’re not stupid, I think after the World Cup he’s just had it’s going to be inevitable. It’s inevitable that there’s going to be clubs in for him. I think the worrying thing is that we’ve heard a bit of news from team talk this morning that apparently Tyler Adams is attracting interest from Manchester United.”

Leeds United’s Tyler Adams in action against Crystal Palace earlier this season.

“I think it’s obvious from their standpoint that they do need a defensive midfielder, I don’t think they’re all convinced on Fred, I don’t think they’re all convinced on McTominay if I’m being honest with you. However, Tyler Adams, as I’ve just said had a very, very good World Cup, Arguably The State’s best player, unlucky to go home of course, but apparently Arsenal, Manchester United, there’s Inter Milan looking at him, Inzaghi is a huge admirer apparently. I wouldn’t be as worried about Inter Milan and maybe that’s me being slightly naive, but I think the lure of the Premier League when Tyler Adams has come out and said multiple times before as well, he absolutely adores the Premier League, he wanted to be here, he’s watched it since he was a kid very, very similar to what Brenden Aaronson said.”

“I don’t really fear someone like Inter Milan, I do fear however a team maybe like Manchester United or arsenal or Liverpool who are also looking for a defensive midfielder, at this moment in time, and according to this report, Tyler Adams is to assess his options at the end of the season”.

Jesse Marsch and his squad, barring Adams, Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen are all on a training camp in Spain ahead of the friendly against Elche on Thursday before flying back to England for two further friendlies at Elland Road before the season resumes at home to Manchester City on December the 28th. Just a few days later, the January transfer window will open and the Whites will be looking to add to the existing squad as quickly as possible, with reports suggesting the club will be very active in this window. However, they should also be aiming to keep the key players in the team, and build a strong squad around them.

What do you think, should the club pull out all the stops to keep Adams? Let us know in the comments.
