One more exit and I think we may have to give this summer the official ‘fire sale’ status.
Leeds fans have been used to departures this summer, with the likes of Pontus Jansson, Samuel Saiz and Jack Clarke departing Elland Road, although that last one is in a bit of a grey area.
Those three men, and many more were today joined by Oliver Sarkic who has joined League One side Burton Albion on a one-year-deal. The 22-year-old Montenegrin joined Leeds in the summer of 2017, initially on loan however that move was made permanent the following January. Despite seeing action in the U23’s he never made a first-team appearance during his time in Yorkshire and spent last season on loan at Barakaldo in Spain.
Leeds fans had mixed reactions to the news of Sarkic’s departure. Whilst some wished him the best for the future, a lot of fans, as is slowly becoming a tradition amongst supporters, took the opportunity to take shots at the board for allowing yet another man to leave the club.

Anything else we can sell? What about the nets? Seats? Advertising boards?

More outgoings, do we have anyone left at the club who is contractually our player?

Who’d have thought there’d be so much fuss made over someone who never even kicked a ball for the first team? This guy seems to have the right idea.
Why are people acting like losing someone from the academy is gonna hurt us, if we lost Edmundson then fair enough, but he’s not even a main player for the U23s. Swear our fans just love to criticise the club and owner as much as possible
