It’s not all been doom and gloom this season for the club – though the senior boys have done their best to bring us down.
Indeed, away from their failures, the younger lads have actually been pretty successful with both U23 and U18 sides showing that they have some talent in their ranks.
Certainly, I’d like to see more come through into the side sooner rather than later and with the U18’s getting into their divisional play-offs, who’s to say they won’t?
Let’s take a look, then, at the reaction to the kids’ achievement:
Leeds' U18s into their divisional play-offs. Bolton and Crystal Palace already qualified, Charlton likely to complete the semi-final line-up:https://t.co/uxKJKGz9C3

As I understand it Saturdays' game can decide where play off is played. Goal difference and a win v Bolton sees Leeds at home I think. Worth popping up if so. I tried match reporting. Hopeless. 'That's a goal from the nice lad with the nice Dad'.

Lads @CAFCofficial don't bother turning up, these lads are the greatest u18's team in this nation. Seriously don't even get on the coach.

Queue the “get them in the first team” tweets in 3… 2… 1…

Might not hurt to look at one or two… maybe from the bench.. no pressure in meaningless games…..see how they adapt…can't be worse than watching Kalvin Phillips steal a living pretending to be a professional footballer…

who is number 4 playing central midfield? he looked decent would be good to have squad numbers when no commentary on game

The Verdict
This is some good news even if the club at a more senior level has let us down this season.
A lot of the older lads could learn from the U18’s right now with the way they are carrying themselves and representing our famous badge.
For me, in the final few games I would play some of the kids but with them having something to play for, we’d have to be careful not to tire them out.
Thoughts, Whites? Let me know!
