Time for a little test, don’t worry it’s not difficult.
Reports are coming in that Leeds are in the process of completing a deal for Illan Meslier. Meslier is a 19-year-old goalkeeper plying his trade at French side Lorient.
Now, hands up if you saw that one coming. I think I can safely say everybody’s hands stayed by their side, so with that little experiment over, let’s continue.
Whether or not he is being brought in as direct competition to current number one Kiko Casilla, or if this is someone that Marcelo Bielsa has recruited for the future, we will just have to wait and see.
United fans didn’t seem to be all that keen with the prospect of signing the young Frenchman, mainly because so few people had even heard of him. That didn’t stop them from taking to Twitter though and giving their assessment of things.

A few of them put on their Sherlock Holmes hats and started to do a little bit of digging about him, and besides being fascinated by the fact he’s so tall (either 6’5 or 6’6 depending on which website you choose), they didn’t come up with much.
