With a number of positives coming from Leeds United’s Under 23 clash with Burnley on Tuesday afternoon, there are good reasons for optimism at the club despite the way injuries have once again hit manager Marcelo Bielsa’s plans.
With Jack Clarke featuring prominently following his own performance, Patrick Bamford’s hattrick made sure he stole the headlines, but for plenty of fans seeing Izzy Brown get a runout and get himself on the scoresheet was also an incredibly good omen for them as we look to the festive fixtures and then the New Year.
The on loan Chelsea man has always been highly rated and there are plenty who believe we wouldn’t have stood a chance of getting him to the club had he not been injured, but given he reportedly hasn’t cost us a penny yet, getting him in whilst injured so he could settle and see the faith we have in him, could’ve been a masterstroke of its own.
Can’t wait for bamford and brown to play #lufc

Could be even harder for Samuel Saiz to get back into the Leeds team with Izzy Brown looking sharp and fit #lufc #mot

Absolutely brilliant the boys today, great win!
Bamford back with a vengeance.
Brown oozing class.
Not much more to say about Jack Clarke that hasn't already been said. Destined for Premier League very soon whatever happens with us.
The future is bright ????#LUFC #MOT https://t.co/PGawX7oy9X

I can see Izzy Brown displacing Alioski and playing in a 3 behind Roofe along with Saiz and Pablo. Would terrorise most champ clubs imo #lufc

Massive that we have a fit & firing Bamford back for this tough December period. Add that with Brown who's looking a class act, Jack Clarke playing outstanding today as well, & Ayling to come back at the end of this month.
Looking really good atm. #lufc https://t.co/9tawghenlO

As the above comments imply, fans are relishing the opportunity to see him fit and in full flow for the first team as he should undoubtedly have a good impact.
