Bielsa keen to sign £3.15m-rated forward, these Leeds fans react: ‘Would be a great signing’

Some Leeds fans have been reacting on social media after London Football News suggested United are planning a move for Queens Park Rangers forward Luke Freeman.

The 27-year-old enjoyed a solid campaign at Loftus Road under Steve McLaren and caretaker boss John Eustace in the season just past, as he scored nine goals and assisted a further eight across all competitions, having played ten games as his side’s attacking midfielder, but more often found a home on the left wing.

One of Freeman’s strikes, unfortunately, came against us when he ensured the three points would remain in West London when we ventured down in February, with a chance to move three points clear of Sheffield United in the race for automatic promotion.

Not long after we returned to West Yorkshire, reports started to emerge suggesting a move for Freeman to come to Elland Road was on the cards, but our efforts at the time were dependant on securing promotion.

Rangers starlet Ebere Eze was also noted as a player of interest to our scouts after they attended several of QPR’s fixtures. However, London Football News understand a move for the 20-year-old seems unlikely.

As for Freeman, though, London Football News are expecting the Whites to lodge a bid for the £3.15million-rated Arsenal product, who was named Rangers’ Player of the Year, as Marcelo Bielsa is keen to add the forward to our squad this summer.

But QPR are not prepared to lose the former England U17 international on the cheap, having signed the Dartford-born talent to a new contract in November that runs until the summer of 2021. The West London outfit also rejected offers of £4million for their star man last summer, when Blackburn Rovers and Middlesbrough tried to sign him.

So when it was shared on Twitter that we are set to table an approach, here’s how these Leeds fans reacted…
