Slowly but surely, he’s starting to look alright.
Whilst Eddie Nketiah’s goal off the bench would have grabbed most of the headlines yesterday, it was the performance of one other player on the Leeds team that got people talking.
Kiko Casilla has already come in for a lot of praise this season, particularly for his efforts when it comes to his distribution and passing. However, yesterday looked like it might just be a turning point for the 32-year-old Spaniard, as not only was he great with his feet, but also with his hands as he kept the home side at bay during Leeds’ 2-0 win over Barnsley.
This might just be the first time that anyone has taken the time to praise him over his shot-stopping abilities, and for the fact that he didn’t make any mistakes like he did last year against Sheffield United or Derby County.
And that certainly didn’t go unnoticed by the Leeds supporters who all rushed to Twitter to praise him after the match was over.
Casilla's best game today, he only gave me 1 small heart attack an made some great saves #lufc

Kiko Casilla stood out, too. Several great saves. Best performance he’s had in a Leeds shirt.

There have been a few fans this season, and I’m one of them that have been a little bit nervous whenever they see him in goal, mainly based on what happened last season, but if he manages to keep performing like he did yesterday, then I think a couple of people might need to start reconsidering their views on him.
Showing his class so far this term but my brain still plays circus music every time i see him MOT
