I wonder how much longer this can go on before he gets given a statue.
I mean, it might be a little too early to start talking about it now, but if he ends up being the sole reason that Leeds end up getting promoted at the end of the season, is it really out of the realms of possibility that he goes down in folklore in the same way Don Revie and Billy Bremner have? Probably, but it’s nice to think about.
Eddie Nketiah has taken Elland Road by storm this season. Having arrived on loan from Arsenal on deadline day, he is slowly but surely making himself part of the furniture at United with his goals, be they in the cup or in the league.
So after he came off the bench yesterday to score a crucial late goal in Leeds’ 2-0 win over Barnsley and capped it off with his signature ‘who you gonna call?’ celebration (which by the way, I really want to know the story behind that), fans were more than happy to shine the light on the 20-year-old forward.
Class Eddie mate – pleasure to have you playing for us.
