“Been Invisible for months apparently” – These Leeds fans react as Whites star in league chart

|

Some Leeds United fans have been reacting on social media after LUFC Data shared a Championship-wide chart showing which players have completed the most passes in the final third this season.

Three Whites stars feature in the league-wide chart, with Mateusz Klich heading the table on 308 to Fulham’s second-placed man Tom Cairney with 306, who is one of three former United players in the top 11.

Pablo Hernandez’s 251 accurate passes in the opposition’s defensive third are enough for the veteran Spaniard to rank seventh, while Stuart Dallas is 11th with 232 to his name.

Hernandez is just seven shy of another former United man in fourth-placed Alex Mowatt, now of Barnsley, while Dallas is three shy of breaching the top-ten with Reading’s John Swift marginally ahead on 235.

Dallas has featured for the second-most minutes in the Championship of any outfield Untied player this term, with the 28-year-old playing in 1698 of the 1710 minutes that have been on offer thus far.

Klich has featured the fifth-most, including mainstay goalkeeper Kiko Casilla, with 1596 minutes, in which the Poland international has scored three goals and assisted once.

As for Hernandez, the 34-year-old has recorded his 251 accurate final third passes in 973 minutes of league action, having missed six games through a calf issue sustained in the clash with Derby County in late September.

Along with Cairney and Mowatt, former Whites midfielder Matt Grimes features in the top 11 in fifth-place with 253 final third passes for Swansea City, whom he joined us on loan from for the 2016/17 season.
