With Luke Ayling back in training, it seems as though many of our fans are excited to see him back in the squad sooner rather than later.
If we’re honest, I think there will be little chance of seeing him in white this side of the summer now and that’s probably for the best – there is no need to rush him back.
It’ll be good to have him return to action for the new season, though, where he should be back to full fitness and ready to remind us all of what he can do.
With him closing in on a return, then, it seems as though many have started talking about him on social media and so, with that in mind, let’s take a look at some of what has been said:

Clearly a character the side miss too. Be good to have him back next season.

Have you got our season stats before and after his injury? I bet its been horrendous since ayling has been out

No problem. Leeds' win rate across all competitions in 2017/18:
With Luke Ayling: 52% win rate (15/29)
Without Luke Ayling: 15% win rate (3/20)— LUFCDATA (@LUFCDATA) April 26, 2018
Speaks levels of how important he is.

Never seen a player able to win free kicks for us so frequently and easily. If he thinks he might lose the ball he falls over and gets a free kick…genius #MOT

His form had fallen off a cliff before the injury and we've come to miss him badly. Shows just how key he's become

Season turned on this guy's absence

Seems the team started to fall apart as soon as he was injured

The Verdict
He’s a player I’m a big fan of and it seems as though I am far from alone.
The defender just does his job instead of taking silly risks – something a lot of his team-mates could learn from.
Solid at the back and a strong runner going forwards, it’ll be a real boost to have him back.
