Another Premier League giant chases Leeds United star despite agent’s comments – report

Arsenal have entered the race for Leeds United’s Jack Clarke, according to the Daily Mail, despite Ian Harte stating that the midfielder will not leave Elland Road.

The 18-year-old has been a regular member of Marcelo Bielsa’s team so far this season, making 14 appearances in the Championship and scoring two goals.

His emergence out of the Whites academy alerted numerous top-flight sides to his potential, with the Gunners becoming the latest side linked with a move for Clarke.

Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Southampton and Crystal Palace have all been linked with a move throughout the January window, with the Saints and Eagles both seeing bids rejected.

Spurs’ interest appeared to become the most substantial as Thursday’s transfer deadline approached, with Mauricio Pochettino reportedly looking to add youth to his ranks, but their local rivals are now keeping close tabs on the midfielder.

Either side of North London, though, may be out of luck as Clarke’s agent, former Leeds midfielder Harte, tweeted on Tuesday that his client would not be leaving Elland Road this month.
