Saturday’s clash between Leeds United and Bristol City at Ashton Gate had a few talking points, but one that should certainly not be missed is centre-half Liam Cooper made his 100th appearance as our skipper in the match to enter his name in our history books.

To save overly repeating the stats and the history here I’ll link my former article.

“Proved Us All Wrong” – These Fans Are Delighted As Leeds Man Is About To Enter History

Taking to the pitch in our last match – a 1-0 victory courtesy of Patrick Bamford’s early effort in the first half – Cooper became the 12th person to make 100 appearances as captain. The day also saw him break past the 150 milestone since he arrived at Elland Road.

With plenty of praise for his improvement this year under manager Marcelo Bielsa before he achieved that feat, the praise was certainly flowing following the fulltime whistle and Coops took to social media proving it wasn’t lost on him either.

A simple message that received plenty of support.
