With the ongoing praise that on loan Brighton and Hove Albion centre-half Ben White continues to receive owing to his performances for Leeds United, it was probably only going to be a matter of time before – much like the Eddie Nketiah and Jack Clarke recall speculation and nonsense we saw in the press – we saw multiple claims that his parent club would reward his performances by taking him back to the Amex and potentially trying to arrange a loan to a Premier League club to boost his chances.
Just like Clarke and Nketiah, nobody truly knows what Leeds have agreed with those clubs who have potentially done us favours with loans this season, but that doesn’t stop the rumour mill and scaremongering.
In the case of Clarke given his breakthrough last year, Spurs could well want greater game time for him, but in Nketiah’s case this is his first loan spell and despite the lack of starts, he’s getting games under his belt. White is slightly different again as he has experience further down the pyramid, but he’s excelling in the second tier so I fail to see why Brighton would interrupt that development and call him back – it would be counterproductive.
I’m clearly not the only one who thinks along those lines.
no point worrying at this stage

Wasn’t we saying this about Eddie last week ????

Can't see it happening

The point of a loan is for the players to get more game time than at parent clubs. I’m pretty sure recalls only happen through lack of game time and https://t.co/zUb1Af0U9e there is literally ZERO chance that White will be recalled as the loan is fulfilling its desired purpose

suppose it all depends on how they're doing in Jan, they've been loyal to duffy and dunk for a long time and spent big money on Webster. Plus if he spends a whole season with us and continues to play ridiculous they'll get big money for him in the summer

I’m with you. White and Nketiah are staying. Clarke on the other hand…
