With the 2018/19 campaign ending in disappointment for Leeds United as we failed to gain promotion into the Premier League via either the automatic spots or the Wembley Play-Off route despite largely leading the division for much of the season, plenty of players were quick to send their rallying messages as they spoke about their own hurt.
As the week’s pass and players have been away on holiday to freshen up after a tough campaign under manager Marcelo Bielsa, one thing that was noticeable last season was the bond between the players and despite the disappointment that spirit doesn’t appear to have disappeared.
Summer signing Barry Douglas quickly established himself as a fan favourite on his arrival from Wolverhampton Wanderers, but his dress sense leaves a lot to be desired when he takes to social media.
It’s been pointed out before in fairness and Douglas sees the funny side of it, as do plenty of fans.

But after his latest Instagram post, even teammate Adam Forshaw got in on the act.
There’s every reason for optimism that we can go one better this year, and that spirit in the group will be key to it happening.
