Saturday’s clash with Queens Park Rangers was a good opportunity for Leeds United to really find their groove in the Championship campaign of 2019/20 and manager Marcelo Bielsa would’ve been looking for us to really put the pressure on West Bromwich Albion in top spot and start chipping away at the small buffer they have built up.
Disappointingly for fans, Eddie Nketiah missed out on the matchday 18 as he picked up a knock in training on Friday, but as hoped for, Pablo Hernandez returned to the substitutes bench.
Leeds utterly dominated the opening half and Tyler Roberts gave us the lead with six minutes remaining in the half, and given QPR hadn’t had a shot on target come the half time break, the question should be – how many…but this is Leeds.
Our control in the second half continued with chances coming, and in keeping the clean sheet, Jack Harrison’s second goal of the day gave us the comfortable victory and we were in no trouble at the end.
Now for a winning run?
