Leeds United have spent the past week embroiled amidst ‘spygate’ after their 2-0 victory over Derby County and Marcelo Bielsa provided further fuel to the fire yesterday with an impromptu press conference.
The Argentine boss issued many revelations in front of the assembled press, admitting he had spied on every opponent Leeds have faced so far this season, but eagle-eyed Leeds supporters were focused on something else.
During his lengthy speech, Bielsa gave a presentation that provided examples of the analysis his side does on their opponents and some supporters were quick to spot a file on Bielsa’s desktop titled ’20 JAMES WIN SWANSEA’ – clearly referencing Swansea City’s Daniel James, a reported transfer target.
Leeds are said to be keen on the winger as they seek to bolster their push for promotion and some fans quickly took to social media to discuss what they had spotted, with one convinced it was all a ploy by Bielsa himself.
We have gathered some of their comments below.
