As quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post, Marcelo Bielsa has been talking about Mateusz Bogusz as the clamour around him continues to get higher.
The youngster only signed in the January window but has flown in the U23 side and it is clear that he has got plenty to offer.
Certainly, big things are expected of him suddenly and with the likes of Jack Clarke getting into the side this year, thoughts have quickly turned to him being the next to break through.
However, Bielsa’s quotes about the player suggest he might take a different stance with bringing him through.
He said:
“He has played a few games only. You need to use some analysis. But analysis you cannot do in some moments. He had a good performance in the last game.”
Clearly, then, the Argentine is in no rush to bring Bogusz through and at this point in the season that isn’t such a bad thing.
When he is ready he will make the jump for sure, but Bielsa seems ready to be a bit more cautious with him than others.
