Leeds United tasted Yorkshire derby delight on Saturday as we took victory over fellow high-flying Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

It was a fairly mixed and open encounter, with United taking possession and chances overall, but Leeds tested their goalkeeper on more occasions so the narrow 1-0 victory as Pablo Hernandez capitalised on a defensive error within the final ten minutes of the game, would leave most neutrals at least thinking it was a just result.

Statistics website Whoscored definitely had Leeds edge it on their ratings as not a single player for the hosts received a 7+ rating, whereas six of our players did.

Scoring the goal, Hernandez’s performance saw him take their star man award with a score of 7.53, and he was quickly followed by Kalvin Phillips (7.46), Bailey Peacock-Farrell (7.44), Pontus Jansson (7.43) and Adam Forshaw (7.37) as they completed the top five on the day.

Stuart Dallas was the final man to get above 7 from the game, but substitute youngster Jack Clarke narrowly missed out himself picking up 6.98.

Three wins on the spin so onwards and upwards with only a one point gap to top spot.
